A preset gives you a starting point. The light, the person and the photograph still need your eye. If you love warm colour, softer highlights and a film-inspired feel, here’s a simple way to approach the edit.
Choose a preset for the photograph
Try a few options on the same image before committing. Notice what happens to skin, bright areas and darker tones. A look that works beautifully in open shade may need a different approach in direct sun or under flash.

Get the brightness feeling right
After applying a preset, review exposure. Keep important detail in the face and bright areas, then decide how much depth you want in the shadows. There isn’t one exposure setting that will suit every file.
Check the skin before chasing the mood
White balance affects the overall colour of a photograph. Adjust temperature and tint with the light in mind, watching the skin as you go. Warmth can feel lovely; too much can pull attention away from the person. Compare the edit with the original and step away for a moment if you’ve been staring at it too long.
Keep the set consistent, then check each frame
Use a favourite edit as a reference for photographs made in similar light. Look through the set together, then revisit frames where the light or exposure changes. Consistency comes from those small decisions as much as the preset.
Before you buy
The 10 Pack is supplied as desktop .xmp preset files with an installation guide. It is built for RAW files; JPEGs may need further adjustments. Check the current product information for compatibility, and ask us if you’re unsure about your setup.
